FoodCorps Update

Barringer students participate in a cole slaw tasting made from cabbage grown in the Barringer gardens. Thanks to Mr. B for showing us his culinary skills while he prepared the cabbages!

The last frost date has finally passed, so Barringer Bees are busy planting in the gardens! Third grade students have been watching marigolds, tomatoes, basil and lettuces grow inside, and now they are ready to be transplanted into the gardens. Even on the early release day this week, Ms. Petrillo’s class was busy planting yellow summer squash and strawberries in the circular garden. As the days keep getting warmer, scholars will get to share their harvest with the rest of the school!
